the past couple months my HUD gauge cluster in my s13 has been very strange. at first the temp gauge stoped working, the needle would bounce up and down with the rpm's, then settle on the "C" and not move. now for the past couple weeks or so the needle dosent move at all. about 4 days ago, the check battery light and the e-brake indicator light came on and will not go off, unless the car is off. i checked the e-brake to see if the connection was bad, and it was fine, and i had a diognostic test done on the battery and the entire electrical system, and it was fine as well. ive heard of alot of other ppl having problems with their clusters, something with the solder on the back or something. should i just buy a new cluster? if anyone has any ideas on this it would be appriciated.thanks-dan

Have you checked the altenator? Alot of times if the battery and the brake light are staying it, it is an altenator problem.

get your altenator replaced and see if your other probs go away. when the diodes in the altenator go out both those dash lights will come on. if your temp gauge problem still exists check the sender tab(single wire black booted at front of intake manifold)if the tab is loose it will cause the gauge to go all over the place.
