Cluster Light Problems

Ok, I pulled out my digital gauge cluster to swap in a speedo unit from another car, and when I put the cluster back in, the lights no longer worked. All fiunction lights work (brake, high beams, turn signals, etc) as do the HVAC lights. Also, all bulbs seem kosher. Any ideas? I am pulling my TCU to open it up and see if there are any fried connections. Also, all fuses are ok. I'm getting tired of having to turn on my map light to see how much fuel I have left during night runs!!!

I am/had a problem with the cluster lights going out. My tail lights go at the same time. I still have brake lights, just no tails. I think it may have something to do with me using a JDM analog cluster harness and the pin out not being right. I just replaced the tail light fuse (15a) and they came back for now. It looked like the fuse grounded out and melted down. Don't know if this really helps, but I am going to pickup a US cluster harness and move to my US cluster and see if it helps.

Tails work, and I once again checked the fuses...all are A OK.

Hmm. Are all the lights in series so that if one goes out they all go out?

You may check the twist in lights in the back of the cluster.

I pulled all lights, and all are fine and installed properly. Like I said, they stopped working right after I removed the cluster and then reinstalled it. No wiring was messed with or anything! I am quickly gettin tired of this!!!:(

Have you checked all of the switches in the bezel. I don't know if you had to remove the wires, but make sure they are all connected securely.

All of them work. Also before I pulled the cluster, the lights would sometimes flicker.

I have no clue then. Sorry. Have you reseated the connection where the cluster sub-harnes plugs into the main stem?

It's cool. Yeah, I have. The lights don't work on the JDM cluster or the analog USDM cluster I have. I think I will use the USDM cluster and mabye get some indiglo gauges or smoethign along those lines...

Sounds pretty cool. I just hope that they will solve you problem, expecially if they cost a lot. I think I am going to get a USDM cluster harness this afternoon. I am not 100% confident in the JDM harness that I have.
