It was brought to my attention that the Off button part of the cruise control switch (ASCD) illuminates at night (According to Lino). So I though well if that does then what else have I missed.

Here are some pictures of the mirror switch all taken apart: http://picasaweb.google.com/pp...earch#

Here are some pictures of the ASCD Swtich and microphone: http://picasaweb.google.com/pp...Apart#

Please I don't want this to be another topic like the ashtray and how there interchangeable.

Thanks a ton Lino!

This is kind of a sidebar but what does that microphone on the ASCD switch do? I have never been able to figure out what it does and this post reminded me of my curiosity about its purpose.

Thanks

There is no microphone on the ASCD controls. The microphone is part of the cluster lid D part of that group of 3 controls.

The Microphone was for the Car phone, It was a hands free talking thing think 1990's Bluetooth.

JDM cars had a fog light or heated seat switch in its place. Infact Heywier427 bought the Impul kit and said he managed to put a rear defroster switch with a fog light logo on there in the Microphone's space. That's what I would like to do some day.

If you examine the microphone bezel you can see how it could mount a nice minature [lighted or not] toggle switch for Trimode TCU or ECU or other functions.

I actually did this except I use it to control my show lighting.
