This morning after driving somewhat hard on my way to work, I noticed a clunking, tapping, banging noice. I found that it was coming from the front driver's side wheel. I continued driving, checked to make sure that I could steer, thinking maybe a tie rod had broken. I could steer fine, but the noise went away when I turned in on direction. I got to work, parked and did a quick check and found nothing. I got to work and ponder and then decide to go check again and found that MY LUG NUTS WERE LOOSE. I could move at least two of the four on that wheel with my fingers. Moral: Check your lug nuts periodically.
