When im turning i hear a clunking noise in the front right wheel. Only when im going at probably 30-40km but at slow speeds i dont hear anything. The first time i heard this i checked the tire and it was rubbing against my suspensions. It was not like this the first few months i got it. So i put some spacers in theres for temporary so they dont rub any further.

I searched around and found it might be my ball joint in my control arm?Does that sound right? if so should i just replace the ball joint or replace the whole control arm?

Thank you

Could be anything. The best thing is to get it in the air and torque everything. Diff bolts, DS bolts, suspension arms, axles, end links, sway bar d rings, and then check the ball joints, and tie rods for play.

Now if the rear balljoints are shot you wont find replacements. Nissan wants you to buy new rear lower control arms. But 1989 Sentra front ball joints press right in.

Another possibility is the bearing in the top of your strut where it mounts into the engine bay, If the bearing is worn or the nut that keeps your springs compressed in the strut could be to tight and keeping the bearing from turning.

i had that exact problem for the past 3 months. just been to lazy to look into it being cold and all. well today i checked it out and one of my exhuast brakets broke loose. that was causing all my clunking when taking turns and such.
