I am wondering if I have bad ball joints. The front end clunks back and forth particularly over bumps such as when turning into driveways. I took a video of the movement while the car was jacked up by the body. If I jack under the LCA I can't really move the ball joint at all.

I've never had a car with play in the lower ball joint while on jacks. The odd thing is that the play is side to side instead of top to bottom. Both sides are like this. I did replace one outer tie rod end the other day since there was additional play at the steering knuckle. At $117 for each LCA + ball joint I want to make sure they are really bad.

Any thoughts?? Thanks!

I had a clunking noise on my G35x. Turns out the problem was sway bar links. You can buy a box of sway bar links for $30 for a pair. Bring the car to a small mechanic shop and he'll install them for probably $50. I fixed all 4 on the front and back and it took care of my clunking problem.
