clunking and wobble struts or control arm?

getting major front end wobble at between 40mph and 60mph and clunking noise when going over bumps, both small and large. i've had a few ppl say its the lower control arm and i had others say its the struts. dont really want to purchase the wrong part as they are pricey. anyone know? how can i tell?

take it to a shop and have it looked at.......car needs to be put on lift and all parts inspected by a tech, and test driven for a proper diagnosis.Without doing this, everything is a guessing game.

inspect the tension arm bushing and all other rubber parts.

If you don't have a good suspension shop, look at the Tire Rack installers in your area and interview the top rated 3-5. Avoid national chains like the palgue.
