Hit a nice set of "moguls" today and noticed a decent clunking, also noticed it when I floored it a few times from a dig and when I let off the gas and the car jerks, CLUNK

With the car parked I can push down on the passenger front and get the car bouncing and it clunks everytime at the bottom of its travel, you have to push pretty hard though, little bounce wouldnt do it

Couldnt repeat the noise on any other corner.

At first I thought it might be a motor mount, clunking when the engine jerks

Any ideas? Pretty dark out to try anything, had a flashlight out a min ago but its dark as obama out

i think its the early stage of a stabilizer link gone bad, fully lock your wheel to the left and slightly jerk the rod

Ya pretty loud freakin noise eh, Ive only heard it a few times while driving on the big dips and jumps lol. It may be anything, just nothing looked suspicious to me

the geolanders mounted on my oems were GREAT in the winter, great all around tire in the winter. Road noise and ride were normal. Tread wear is definetely an issue though, I used them for 9-10k kms and they are already probably 50% treadlife, definetely a winter only tire in my eyes, gotta get the summer tires on real soon

i agree they wear out fast, mine were freshly installed when i bought the truck (Jan 08) and now they're all cracked with 50-60 % life...i put roughly 15km so far

as for winter driving or in really weather im personally dissapointed, emergency braking can be scary lol

It's the links starting to go.Heard it before. It's not a difficult job, and the parts are reasonably cheap (go OEM).How many Kms. on it?

Really, those little 6" links above the brakes would make that noise? Hell of a clunk lol

Those were the cheapest I found with a quick ebay search, $55 shipped, dunno how much oems ones are Ill check that now

Car has 100kmiles on it, so 160kms or so, dont know if anything int he front end has ever been changed, got no service records with it

Absolutely. I changed my first ones at around 100,000 Kms. (60k miles).I just put in another set this spring. Same clunking sound started to come back.

I'm closing in on 200,000 Kms., and I have not replaced any other front end parts. Only the links.Don't hesitate. Replace them and you're good to go.
