So, after some passionate driving the other day my sr developed a knocking sound from under the car. Not the engine bay, but underneath. Scared s***less I poked around with a stethoscope, but couldn't find the source of knocking anywhere on the engine. Then I pressed the clutch in and the noise went away.

This is the input shaft bearing right? How safe is it to drive on? I have to drive about 650km tomorrow and want to make sure I won't lose the clutch or something...

Thanks,Chris

The bearing would probably make more of a whining sound not a knocking sound.

a knocking noise from the trans area would indicate something is out of balance. IE: you probably need to have a trans rebuild. I would take it to a shop and ask their advice as to what it is first

Well I made it home, apparently the knocking noise wasn't catastrophic...yet. I'll take a look when its all out, thanks guys
