Car:Nissan 240SX SE CoupeHow you guys doing, I'm new to the forum but I've had a s13 for quite a while now and I have a problem with my current setup, let's see if you guys can help me. The car is pretty much stock, I just recently replaced the clutch, transmission was bad, so I swapped it out for a newer '94 transmission, and it also has new slave and master cylinders. Now, the problem is that when the engine warms up to normal operating temperatures, the clucth starts to slip, ONLY when the engine warms up, when the engine is cold the car pulls just fine on every gear, but it starts to slip once it warms up.

Possibilities of the problem: 1. Rear main seal of engine is bad, and when it heats up it starts to leak oil onto the disc making it slip specifically when the engine warms up.

2. Bad deffective clucth from factory. I bought an Exedy which is the stock clucth that comes with the car. It could be defective but not likely.

3. Flywheel?????.....no. Actually flywheel was not resurfaced, but can that be it?,

I really have no other place to look at, this problem is driving me nuts. Can someone help me out??. Thanks in advance

1) could be. Did you notice if the old clutch disc was oil soaked? Had you noticed the rear main leaking in the past?

2) It is possible to get bad parts, but unlikely.

3) This is definetely a good possibility. The fact that you did not turn the flywheel will void most manufacturers warranties. This will make it very hard to get a replacement. Of course, if they don't ask for the receipt from turning the flywheel
