The same sort of thing happened to me yesterday. Anything more than a very light press on the throttle would cause my clutch to slip like crazy. I managed to baby it home most of the way, but the clutch got too hot and lost almost all grip. I had to get it towed the last stretch to my house. Now I am waiting for my replacement OEM one to get here.

Yeah, you probably need a new clutch. There is a chance some grease got betwix your flywheel and clutch disk though. Best way to find out is to drop that transmission and take a gander

If you're low on clutch fluid, you have a leak either in the clutch master cylinder, the line to the slave cylinder, or the slave cylinder itself. If your clutch is slipping, it won't be due to low fluid. That would cause the throw-out bearing to not press on the tynes of the pressure plate and disengage the clutch plate fully. Based on what you described, you need a new clutch. I have found Nissan OE clutches to be quite durable and Courtesy Nissan has kits in stock. Order one and spend some time on a weekend getting dirty.

Caps lock never helps. Being low on clutch fluid means the pedal doesn't come back up off the floor and you just plain can't get into gear because you can't disengage the clutch.

Seriously, stop with the caps lock. I take it you are new to the internet and forum ettiquette. Typing in all caps comes across as yelling, and I'm sure you don't want us to treat you like the excitable squirrel that capslock makes you look like.

Anyway, ACT makes a proven quality product. As far as I can tell F1 is one of those ebay brands that are hit and miss.

zerothread/225573 <- a post made about the flywheel in the f1 kit.
