CLR in the cooling system ?

k, those two links how you my history on my car rust problem, i make a new topic about this but it got erased somehow and i still didnt get the answer to my question =(

i have rust lined up everywhere i wanna know is it safe to use CLR in the cooling system ?

Important

Wear household rubber gloves. Always stand on a non-slip surface for all cleaning jobs. Do not use CLR on natural stone, marble, terrazzo, colored grout, painted or metallic glazed surfaces, plastic laminates, Formica, aluminum, copper, brass, steam irons, refinished tubs or any damaged or cracked surface. May etch old sinks, tubs and tiles. CLR may return older cement to its original white appearance. CLR is corrosive. Avoid contact with wood, clothing, wallpaper and carpeting. Always test all surfaces in a small hidden area before use. Always avoid prolonged contact with any surface. After 2 minutes, rinse promptly and thoroughly with cold clean water.

will it burn out my rubber hoses ?... i just wanna get the rust out so i can add some radiator/cooling system metal thing that lines my system and is supposed to fix my small leaking problem... and in the end ultimately i wanna do a CA swap... ill have money by the end of the summer =)

the rubber hoses will be fine.The aluminum radiator will not.

if I remember correctly, my chem professor told me CLR is hydrochloric acid, if you've seen what HCl does to aluminum foil, you don't wanna use it in the aluminum radiator
