CLOTH WHEEL WELL????????

I bought my altima coupe 2 weeks ago. The dealer told me that the cloth on the inside of the rear wheel well was standard in the coupe and it would stand the test of time. i have never seen this b4, and there was no other coupe on the lot to compare it to. Needless to say, this cloth is ripping already after 400 miles. Does anyone have this problem.

Yea it is, mine has the same. I thought it was weird at first but they're all like that and so are the Sedans I believe.

its not exactly cloth. Its a rubber mat, like mud flaps

Yeah, what do you mean "cloth" wheel well? You mean like a t-shirt?? It's more like a rubber-ishy sort of deal. Kind of like Dynamat or Accumat. And how or why in the world is it ripping? Hmm...sounds kind of funny to me. Every single car I've owned had the same type of material used in the wheel well. Maybe we're all talking about different things? You mean the wheel well lining, right?

Yeah im a little lost... all the wheel wells ive seen have been covered with like a dynamat/industrial carpet/polyester hybrid type of material

I,m talking about the inside of the rear wheel well. like where the dirt would hit from the tire spinning. It's not like rubber at all... if i grab a hold of it I could rip it right off. it's about 1/4 inch thick, and seem like some kind of black insulation or sound proof material. and its really pissing me off! lol

Yeah I noticed that also, it doesnt look like it will hold up very well, I find its almost fraying on the edges. Looks cheap.
