Not sure if many of you have seen this, it's not been posted in our forum here. What are your thoughts on this new Altima Coupe? It really reminds me of our beloved G...especially the side shot!

Yeah, and it will be available with a 3.5 liter V6 just like the G35.

Looking at the photos posted on: http://www.autoblog.com/2006/1...-g35/

It looks like it has a three passenger back seat. That would be a big plus for me. When the kids act up, I could threaten them with a a road trip where all three of them would have to sit in the back seat.

If the price is right, Ill think about selling my G and buying one of these with NAV, but I would have to drive it first.

I kinda like the rarity of the G, but the Nissan Dealer if 90 miles away VS 250 for the nearest Infiniti dealer.

The Altima coupe is a stylish, “sporty” car, as opposed to a “sports car.” I expect more four-cylinder than sixes will be sold. I wonder what they are going to do to tame the torque-steer the six will have. I drove a 2006 Eclipse GT, which is a FWD of similar power. The struggle the front wheels were having between steering and delivering power during an accelerating lane change was so noticeable my wife commented on it from the passenger seat.

Eerie!!! It looks almost like a G and Z had a kid!

I'm sure it'll be as bone-less as the 4-door Altima, but then again, it gives folks who can't afford a G or Z some of the "feel" of it's bigger brothers. Heck, I'd bet my wife would buy one!

don't get your hopes up. i used to have an 03 altima, top of the line SE trim, v6, manual. it was a piece of crap compared to my g35. the front wheel drive torque steer was horrible, the shifter was horrible, the interior creeking/squeaking/rattling was horrible, and a few interior pieces just fell apart on their own. oh and the suspension/handling is so much better on the g35. if you want a cheaper coupe, id get an accord over the altima. honda has so much better interior quality than nissan.
