Close up pictures of rear bumper needed

Some stupid driver hit my rear bumper and damage the texture area of the bumper(the black part below it) so I need to replace the entire bumperLuckily the insurance is paying for itafter I got my car back, I see some gaps in between the bumper and the rear bodyI told the body shop about it and they tell me it is the way it isbut I am pretty that there should be no gap like that(The following picture is from silverboy)The body shop is not going to do anything unless I prove to them that they are wrongso can someone please post some close up picture of the area I talk about?The more is betterThanks ahead

Unfortunately that's the way it is. I didn't notice until I actually looked at it after reading this thread. My pictures aren't that great, but you can see that it has the same indents as your bumper.

but look closely, my gap is way bigger than yoursMine is like 1 cm and yours is like 1/8 of mine

There is no adjustment for the bumper cover. It either fits or it doesn't. Mine has only a slightly smaller 'gap' than yours. About 1/8 to 1/4".

Is this an OEM Nissan part or aftermarket? If aftermarket, I can understand the bigger gap as their mfg. tolerances may not be as good as Nissan's

The body shop said they bought it from NissanLet me make it a little bit clear(I hope)It not only has a gap from the top to the bumperbut also a gap from the rear body to the bumperand you can see through the hole therefrom the picture above, the left one, you can see that not only it has a gap from top to buttom, but also from left to right(which is from front to rear in term of the car)Isn't it suppose to be like the one on the right?

Yeah, you're right. I thought you were talking about those little indents under the rubber. The gap is significantly bigger on yours. I'll try to get some closer pictures tonight.
