I know that if you hold the unlock button for 3 seconds, the front windows will open automatically.

But the user manual states that the windows can not be closed with the buttons on the key.

Is there a way to realize this?

Exactly what are you asking? Grammatically, your question makes no sense.

If you are asking whether this down-only-function-with-the-remote is correct, then the answer is yes.

The remote for my Maxima works the same way. The purpose of the remote auto down (at least the way I understood it many years ago when I bought my first Nissan), was to allow you to open the car on very hot days before you actually get to it. That way, some hot air can vent out before you get into the car.

As for an auto-up function, I have never heard anyone express an interest in doing that. Exactly why would anyone need to do that with the remote?

Sorry for the confusion. I did ask whether the auto-up function could be realized .I used to have a Passat that could do auto-up with remote in case I forgot to close the windows.

A lot of Nissan/Infiniti vehicles have the down function available on the key fob, but you CANNOT bring them back up.

This may be somewhat different than the OP's question, but is there any way to disable the window functionality from the intelligent key?

Nissan's intelligent key is cool in a lot of ways, but its rounded design is a definite issue. The buttons are easy to press by accident and I end up with open windows. It happens while the key is in my pocket. probably another key poking the fob or something like that. Never happens on my Chrysler key fobs, which have recessed buttons.

This is bad from a theft and weather standpoint. Is there any way to disable the window roll-down feature?

Steven! Welcome to NICOclub! Pleasure having you here in the Murano Forum, I am the moderator here, and guess what? I live in GREEN BAY as well!

I have had the same problem, but more so with the lift gate on my '08 Armada, never had it happen with my windows. I believe there is a way to disable it, but I think it has to be done at the dealer. I would suggest calling Gandrud Nissan, ask for the service dept. Talk to Sam McBeth, he knows a lot about the Nissan Murano (he actually owns an '07 himself). Let me know what you find out!

Timmbo,

Thanks for the warm welcome, I do appreciate it. I will give Gandrud a call, perhaps Sam can help.

Thanks for the reply! Go Pack!

This function doesnt appear to be on the Aussie models. Is there a way of turning it on?

Maybe you just haven't held the unlock button long enough. It takes several seconds (of continuously holding the button) for the windows to open. It's hard to believe this function isn't offered on all Mo fobs.

Had a problem with my intel key in my pocket opening murano front windows (problem in rainy weather..and theft problem)....could not find anything written. Wife had the answer..This morning, she locked the windows from the inside via door window lock switch and presto...the windows no longer will open via intel key (disabled the window via intel key). Just remember to lock windows when you exit the car.

Hope this helps

joeh==Ooops...spoke to soon. Out to lunch at outdoors cafe and returnedto find the windows open......sorry!

I don't believe there is anyway to disable the intellikey window opening feature other than to make sure that nothing is pressing on the button while you are in range of your vehicle. It has affected several people on this forum but I personally have never come back to find my vehicle with windows down.

Do you know to roll the windows up? Remove the actual key from the fob and insert it into the driver's door and then turn and hold it to the left and it will lock your car and roll your windows up.... I get bored and play with the Murano.... I dont have an owners manual so my discoveries are all on my own... like i found a power source inside of the center arm rest, along with a small gap so that if you're using that power source you can close your armrest with out smashing or pinching the wire....

I had some problems with my murano intel key opening windows with my keyin front side pocket with some nasty results (rain into auto).

I took a couple of sticky back felt strips and created bumper protection on thelong sides of the key fob and then covered the felt strips neatly with blackelectrical tape.....no more accidental window openings with keys in pocket.

Hope that someone can use this info.

I believe if you go through the set up options on the information screen, there is an option to disable the auto window down feature. I'm not 100% sure, but I do remember seeing options for windows, alarm horn and lights with the key fob
