well i was driving my Z to school today and was runnin a little late on an exam day so i somewhat unleashed my baby.i was goin about 90mph when another car changed its lane in front of me. in order to avoid hitting him i hit the brakes and slowed to about 60 and felt a very awkward type of hydro plane on a sunny day.

It felt like the rear of my car was acting on its own. the front was perfectly stable but the rear of my car felt like i was hydroplaning making my car wiggle in the rear from left to right kinda fish tailing. Its kinda hard to decribe. i had my girlfriend with me and she said she didnt feel anything but as the driver i felt that loss of control in the rear. felt like i was driving on black ice

Is this why people say the hicas have a possibility of "glitching" under aggressive conditions?

Ive had to slam the brakes alot harder than i did today in recent years but this time it was a completely different feeling it felt really weird.

^UC Davis and a class at american riverim an idiot for even speeding in the first place seeing as im driving with an SR 22 which for those of u guys in other states means that ive got to pay $125 bucks a month to keep my "Privelage" of driving due to a bad driving record where most of the damage was done when i was 16 with a TT . I was all panicky cuz i didnt wanna be late for the exam. btw i did leave earlier to school than normal but there was an accident that held things up for a while.

I dont know if i would blame the HICAS but have you checked your pads, rotors, or fluif lately?

how are the rear tie rod ends? and the ball joints? could have some extra slop that you felt once the weight shifted to the front

I doubt its the hicas, I don't have it on my car and I get the same thing in the rain (even when downshifting agressively), my 2c is that the diff's have some issues when working in the opposed sense.

As others have stated, check out the rear suspension and brake components. Hicas wouldn't cause that.

Glad to hear you saved the Z, but like the others, it is most likely not due to the HICAS. Your rotors may be warped.
