Clogged intake manifold help!

I have a 89 fastback and just bought a new egr valve, went to get a smog test, the mechanic did a vacuum test on the egr and my car didn't stall out. He said it could be a clogged intake... I just want to know how to clean it, and what's the best way to do it?Thanks!

take it off and clean it...degreaser and a rag would be a good start
