So my car has been driving horribly lately. I tried a BG 44K session and now my mechanic says the catalytic converter is clogged thats why the performance is so bad. Is there any way to clean it? also if i need to replace it is this the part i need?

What do the individual cat back pressure vs rpm vs load measurements show. PSI? Make a graph.
It sounds like you might not be using a certified trained on this model TECHNICAN?....................."my mechanic"
Careful non oem aftermarkets and high flows are designed to only last a few years at best thus low cost..............just to get thru the next emission test to sell a car.
CAT failure is very rare unless mods or ecu reflash, etc. Some states have longer cat warranty than oem warranty check your state epa if you are above 70k.

If the cats do need replacements, keep in mind that this item may be covered by a warranty item that is required by Federal and many state laws (for smog control issues). Please see the dealer and get a correct assessment for sure!

Why not try to unhook the cat then run to see if it runs better. should be only 4 bolts holding them. Or you can take it to the dealer for warranty Federal Emissions Warranty should be 8years/80k miles
