hey guys im just wondering how much a difference a clogged cat will make on rev speeds. My rev's seem to be slow, takes literally like 2 seconds to rev it to 4k. The revs are smooth and no hesistation or buckling, but the problem exist on all powerbands, the revs will speed up after 3.5k, but still slow. its a SOHC motor. no engine mods, but there is a 3in catback exhaust on.

recently replaced plugs, distributor cap and rotor, ngk spark plugs, and new O2 sensor.

usually, if a cat is clogged, after the car is warmed up/been driven a while, the cat itself will start glowing red. You can check that if you don't want to take your cat off the car to check it.

hmm if its not the cat, are there any other things that can cause slow revs?

sometimes catylatic converters do get clogged, but usually like he said above it will either be REALLY hot or sometimes you will hear a rattling sounds. I would just unbolt your exhaust before the cat and let it run open downpipe and see if that fixes it.
