I unfortunately purchased a turbo from ssautochrome and for 1 I am very dissapointed, but that is not what this post is about. I purchased a tdo4-h turbo from them and I need to clock it. Right now the compressor housing faces the block when it is installed on the manifold. So what I want to know is, is it as simple as unbolting the compressor housing and rotating it, or is there more to it. I have emailed SSsh1ttychrome a few times but all they can say is take it to a turbo mechanic. they wont even provide me with the name of the manufacturer so I cna contact them directly. I need help with this soon!! as my turbo is on its way out in a hurry. thank a bunch...

I dont see how any harm can come of losening the bolts on the compressor housing just enough to rotate it. Does the tdo4-h use an internal wastegate?

You should be able to do that. My buddy had to on his t3/t4 turbo that he put on his rb20. Hope it works and hope you make some good power.

yea, i had a friend clock his T3/T4 that he put on his RB. maybe the same guy as above mentioned (Sig?). Actually we had to take it to a turbo place cause we couldn't twist it ourselves. I think they actually beat on it with a hammer of some sort....works fine now though.

I'm not sure exactly how yours is set up but i'm assuming most turbos are bolted together the same. If you look on the inside edge of the compressor housing and the exhaust housing, you will see about 6 bolts on each housing. Whe you loosen those bolts a few turns, the entire housing will be free to rotate independent of the center section. Turn the housing to your hearts content, re-tighten bolts and you're done.

The housing does NOT need to be taken off!

That happened to someone on honda-tech. SSautochrome is sketchy.
