OK so my q45 is a 93 touring, silver with black interior, I had the white clock originally, I found a black faced clock in the junkyard, and decided to swap it in. The face lights up, but it won't keep time, it just stays in one spot. Any ideas? Not sure how to upload pictures. But I like the black clock 300% better because it goes better with the black interior and its easier to see at night.

It should just run on 12v. Does it?

I not sure, it already in the dash. It lights up and everything, but the hands don't move unless I go to set the time

The black clocks are set manually by pressing the set knob so that it pops out, and twisting it. The newer clocks set by turning the set knob left or right and advancing the hands by motor, but it doesn't pop out. On your black clock, are you pushing the set knob in and locking it after setting it?

Yes I am, do you think it could be something as simple as gears not aligning on the inside?

I've pulled one apart, but I don't remember much about how to fix it beyond that. I'd probably just keep an eye out for another one...
