The other day when i was cleaning my engine i guess i messed something up because the electron batt fuse blew which causes my radio to not work and my clock resets every time I turn off my car. I replaced the fuse and now the clock stays on all the time and sometimes my radio will continue to play with the key out of the ignition. Is there a relay that i could have shorted out or could it be something else with the ignition wiring. All help is appreciated.

According to the wiring diag you clock is suppose to always be on.

Your radio problem is hard to say, It gets its power from the ignition switch through a fuse in your kick panel, there are no relays in between the ignition switch and the radio, Is your radio stock?

NISTECH is correct: the clock(display) should be on all the time. This threw me at first too, but that's the way it is. Because it's not back-lit, it doesn't draw much more current than just keeping the time.

In regards to your other problem... There are two accessory relays used in your electrical system. One is in the engine bay, and the other above the fuse panel, under driver-side dash.

Also are you 100% sure your radio is wired up correctly? You may have the +12V constant wired into the switched input on the radio. (this along with a poor/intermittent connection could cause this)

This may sound odd, but check the grounds on the harness going to and near the alternator. When I was working with my electrical system(before engine was in), I noticed that without the connectors on the alternator and those grounds, my HVAC lights and other things remained on, even with key out.

Does anything else remain on, or *only* the radio?

I thought that the clock was supposed to be on all the time but i wasn't sure since my radio was having problems. I looked at my grounds and the terminal on the battery post is bad. I tightend it all the way but i can still pull the terminal off. So tomorrow i'll just pick some new terminals and i think that will fix the problem. Thanks for the help.

If you can't get the glamp to tighten down all the way, you can use a spacer. Go to any local battery outlet: they make a 'cup'-shaped shim, made of very thin metal(tin I believe). It is slotted. Usually they'll give them to you if you ask nicely. Also get two anti-corrosion 'doughnut' rings while you have the terminals off. Anyways, you gently tap those shims down, and will allow the battery clamps to close tighter... just describe your problem to them, they'll know what you need.

Oh and wire brush/clean the terminals *and* clamps before re-installing.

Let us know if that fixes your problem(s). Without a good ground, some of the relays are unable to 'de-latch', and turn power off.
