I have to set my clock in the dash compartment everyday if i'm not lazy. It keeps resetting whenever i turn off the car and goes back to 1:30 or what not.Why isn't it recording?

Does it reset right away? or after a little while?

If it's right away, then somehow somewhere your clock line is not connected to the 12v constant supply.

If it does it after a little while, then that means it loses connection w/ the battery for "o so many" seconds.

You can pull your cluster out (if it's bother you enough), and use a multimeter on the lines going to the clock to test them (you'll have to trace the line somehow once you take it out - kind of a pain, but it's all labelled... relatively).

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It doesn't resets right away. When i set it back it stays as long as the car is running. When i turn it off and take out the key completely then the clock resets. Thanks for the help.

Ok, it seems like it's the "reset right away" for my terms (we just are looking at different time scales).

Anyway, what it seems like you are saying, is as soon as the key is in the OFF position, the clock resets.

Does it turn off? or does it go to 1pm?

If it turns off, then that means the wire for the clock is not going to a 12v constant like I said above -> so you need to either figure out why it isn't, or run a new line straight to the battery.

If it stays on and resets, then I have no clue, haha. Maybe defective clock unit?

Well I know I was just having the same problem with my car. The radio wasn't working and the clock was resetting to 1:00 anytime you opened and closed the door, it wouldn't stay on when you shut off the key, the dome light wasn't working properly and the dinger (which I really don't care about) wasn't working with the door open and the key in the ignition. He figured out what the problem was but I was working on the fuel lines at the time so all I know is there was a break or short in the constant supply somewhere. The radio still doesn't work. LOL

He can also get an autometer white face 2" gauge clock :-D. haha.

I went to Big Bear in California - no where near nice as quebec, but I make do - it was only my 2nd time ever going snowboarding, it was hella fun.

Ok, now back your your regularly scheduled post
