I was so pleased to see my clock still worked when I bought my car a few months ago.

Murphy took care of that real quick.

I did a search on Q45 Clock Repair, Clock Repair, Q45 Clock, etc & didn't find anything other than replacement.

Should I just buy a new one or has anyone had luck cleaning or otherwise repairing theirs?

I didn't stop cold, it just loses 30min/day.

If you figure out how to properly remove the dash from behind the steering wheel, let me know. I ended up putting a tiny rip right in front of the speedometer.

It's in the previous posts, and I reposted it a few weeks ago.

I'd look on eBay for the new clock. I have one spare gold one and one spare black one (that I don't want to part with) - but I've seen them go at $15-20.

It's a rare failure - I've only heard of one other, so you should be fine with a junk yard clock.

Email me with your shipping info. [email protected]. I'll send you a black clock for free. If you email me within the next 15 minutes I'll go to the post office right now.

You got mail.

Thanks man, I promise to install it & not let it sit on a shelf. Funny how you get used to something so simple, good taste is never out of style.

Did the search. Nada. If you find out how to properly remove the upper dash panel out from behind the steering column, please let me know!

husband;"What package?"

Wife;"The one behind the microwave"

Husband;"How the heck would I know, it's *behind the microwave*!! Woohooo it's the clock, thanks Jesda!"

HeavyDuty,

I have the same problem. I just drove back from Chicago with my new 91 Q45 and realized the clock does not work. (It does make a ticking noise, but no movement) Let me know how it went when you replaced it with the new one. Was the dash hard to take off even with the instructions?

Thanks,

Sam

I'd like to swap my gold clock for a black one :D. Is that blasphemous?

I think you will miss the gold one, if you exchange it...

You know what would be kind of cool, is if we could upgrade our clocks. Maybe one with multiple time zones or something.

The Chrysler 300M owners have a way of at least changing their clock faces.
