I had a strange problem with my digital clock on the touchscreen yesterday. When leaving the hospital parking lot at 5:15pm I glanced at my clock and it read 2:15. I thought it was strange and would look at it later. In the evening, I jumped into the car to head to the Apple store to pick up my wife's new iPhone and the clock now read the correct time. Has anyone else seen this? What would cause it?

My guess is the navigation satellites were pinging all goofy. I feel like I've read something about that in the manual.
Did you by any chance park in one of those common multi-level garages? And might you have been in this hospital for approx 3 hours?

I park in the same area most every day. The parking lot I use is surrounded by large fir trees. I appreciate the replies - I was wondering if anyone else had seen it. I agree with your thought that it might have been related to the satellites. If I see it again, I'll take a picture and then check to see if the maps are accurate.

Could also be dyslexia or common exhaustion 5 and 2 are easy for some people to get confused. Another theory would be that it was showing UTC for some reason, which could be a glitch in the computer that a reboot resolved. For that to be the case, on 2016-09-21, you'd have to have your system set for the Central time zone with DST enabled (currently CDT, which is UTC+3 vs CST, which is UTC +4) or set for the Mountain time zone without DST enabled (MST is UTC+3, just like CDT).

Interesting - I thought about the 5 vs.2 dyslexia, too. I'll just keep watching to see if it happens again. It was kind of a freaky day that day electrical-wise. I was working in my office and one of my lights went black, then came back in about a minute. Never happened before and hasn't repeated in the past two days.

How do you reboot the computer? Is that removing the main battery cable and letting it sit overnight? I've also noticed that my Miles Per Gallon readout hasn't changed in over a month. I may have a computer problem, most of which can be resolved by a hard reboot.

I'm pretty sure the NAV/MPG/etc computer reboots every time you switch the ignition off. You could try cutting the main power at the battery for like 15 minutes, but that will reset everything (auto-up windows, memory seats, etc). Are you referring to average MPG or the instant MPG bar to the right of that? Have you tried resetting the average MPG? I assume it is the average since last reset which would eventually get pretty stable with consistent driving and no reset.
