I accidentally put something warm against my clock and it is fogged up now. Is it possible to separate the glass from the clock to clean it out? How? Thanks.

Ok, if none has the answer to that, can the clock be changed, or would I have to swap out the whole facade that the clock sits in?

Infiniti has an ITB out for the 06 and 07's where the clock glass was damaged and dealers were changing the glass out.

ITB07-002. It only applies to 06-07 models, I dont think the 08 was any different.

DESCRIPTION PART #
Cover – Analog Clock (Lens) 24813 – EH10A 1

Anyways...you go roll over to infinitihelp.com and download the ITB or PM your email and I'll email it to you.

You'll need to know how to remove the center dash located in the "DI" section of the service manual located here on NICO.

Yeah I can take the dash apart. Ironically I'm actually getting the glass from an 06 so that night be a waste of time? I guess I have to read what this recall was about...but either way, if I can take the glass off, that means I can clean the condensation myself right?

The ITB was for scratching, so it would not apply to you.

But the glass does come right off per the ITB, so you can just dry it out.

Remove the center console, remove the clock, and follow the ITB for instructions to remove the glass.

There are some jokes that are simply not appropriate, we are not that familiar.

Anyway, finally got the damn glass off. The way they put it on is like they didn't want anyone to ever take it off. Turns out it isn't condensation, it is a film that nothing seems to be able to remove(came from oil from beeds)...dawn, bleach, turpentine, soap, windex, nothing. Funny, the guy I'm getting the glass from is an 06. Hopefully it is the good one.

The glass from my 06 is perfect. If you needed to order the part, the part number is in the TSB.

I decided to see how much the glass is new. They dont sell it by itself, only the whole clock. Guess how much....$340.00!!!!! Can you believe that crap!
