Clock back light out

The backlight for my clock in the instrument cluster has gone out.Has anyone repaired one of these who can tell me the best fix?It looks like a ***** to get to as the steering column is in the way.TIA for any advice.

did you change the stereo ? how about your dash lights, they still work ?

if not then you may have burnt a chip.

Stereo was upgraded but it was years ago. All other dash lights are working fine.I don't see any chip involving the instrument lights in the wiring diagram. I can read the clock in the daylight, just the backlight is missing. I was hoping someone had repaired one and wouldhelp me repair mine.Thanks.
