My clock has developed a weird problem. It keeps time just fine during the day, but when driving at night with the lights on it strops running. When I get home and park the car, reset the clock to the right time, it goes back to keeping time.

Anyone heard of this before, or have any idea what might be happening.

I see no one had any advice here, but another variation. I disconnected the battery recently when replacing O2 sensors. Upon restart the clock is slow. It loses 10 minutes in an hour. I have never touched it except for spring and fall before. I did notice that the adjustment knob has a funny feeling when you engage it, kind of like an upshift on a car with worn synchros. Is there an adjustment mechanism?

How often do you buy a new wrist watch? Or send it out to be cleaned ?Thirteen years on mine without service seems good to me......you can get another clock for less than areally good Sieko.

This is the second clock problem I've heard recently - but never before that. For the most part they're really reliable. I bet there are plenty in the salvage yards. You might check http://www.autogator.com

This is a perfect opportunity to move up to a gold/beige 1994 clock. I have one in my Q and it looks beautiful:http://q.spilky.com/nicothread/xm.jpg

At night it has a nice glow and there's a small infiniti logo right below the 12 position. There was one instance where my clock kept poor time, especially overnight. That was when the battery was dying.

I’m quite attached to my clock too! Thankfully it hasn’t broken yet.
