Is it better to order just the engine and transmission rather than ordering the entire front clip?

If you've got the money, then get the clip. It's just safer/easier. Now if you're on a tighter budget, you can just get the bits but with most clips, you'll also want the ECU, wiring harness, and possibly motor mounts. Otherwise, you'll have to spend more money and time trying to locate those.Hope this helped....

Thanks, that helps a lot. If I order an engine the wiring harness is usually included though isn't it?Thanks again.

I think that getting a clip is the wrong why to go. 1 you have to dispose of that left-overs. 2 shiping is more. I think a kit like the one that duntt sells is the way to go. You get motor, transmission, ECU, Waringing harness and all the goodies you need to have to swap. That my 3 pennys worth of info.

the clip is a sort of "insurance"...it helps prevent engine damage during shipping...instead of bashing your engine, they bash the big cage of steel surrounding your engine :D...personally i got a motorset, cause i didn't feel like paying the extra costs associated with insurance of getting a clip...just my opinion

I think he meant Dauntt. That's Daunttless from Afterdarktuning.com

I've heard good things about his business. I'm probably gunna get my SR from there.
