Hey guys,I don't know if you remember on one of my threads about the clip that holds up the headliner and also where the ventshade sits, anyways, nissan came out with a repair kit that fixes that problem where the headliner does not have to be removed or replaced. My dealer said that there was a technical service bulletin on this particular problem and that there is more to come and that our problems are not being put aside but they are working on how to fix the common problems that we are all experiencing with the 1st generation altima coupes. It only took the dealer 40 minutes to fix. From what i gathered, it look like a new clip and a sponge padding that was put in there to correct the problem and it worked. It is more sturdy than the first one. We'll see how long this will last but according to nissan this was tested and proven to solve this particular problem. So, if you are having this particular problem with your headliner/ventshade, your dealer should be aware of the TSB (technical service bulletin) for this came from nissan headquaters. Hope this information is useful to you guys.
