clink sound when i step on gas to go from a complete stop

ok here is the problem

2007 2.5s 45k miles

after i start the car i wait for idle to drop i put the car in gear and go to step on peddle to move, also when already in gear at red light / stop sign , etc.

when i step on gas not even to hard i hear a slight metal sounding clink like two keys being tapped together from the front of car

any ideas what could be causing it ? please i could use all the help i could get
