Clink at Idle

I just bought a 2008 Altima 2.5SL and occasionally when I'm stopped at a red light I hear a clink/clunk that seems to be coming from the front/center portion of the car. It occurs about every 30 seconds so it's definitely cyclical. Any ideas? Engine? Transmission? Should I be worried?

get used to it... happens on my 09 also. dealer says its normal but they may have a recall for it soon.. who knows.. dont hold your breath. there is stael under the car..heatspreaders.... expanding and contracting.. those are the sounds you hear

i have the same problem with my 08. i have 35k on it and started getting the "warranty worries" so i took it in. they found a small hole in my Y-pipe and a corroded(and missing) screw in my head shield. they replaced both and it still didn't solve the problem. i'm not what someone would call "easy" on my car, but i don't abuse her. i expect her to perform like she should. i'll be taking it back to nissan next week to have them see if they can figure out the problem. they also told me the first trip in that it was normal and my engine was finally "broken in"-B.S.!
