Climate controls???

Can the 99-00 QX4 climate controls work in a 01-03 qx4? I have dismantled the center console and created a custom dash look, however the climate controls are not square like the 99-00 QX4s. The navi version qx4 has the climate controls integrated in the navi screen. Below the navi screen is the radio. I bought the navi dash, and I have fitted a aftermarket navi screen/radio there. I moved the climate controls down, but they wouldn't fit in the square hole where the navi equip radio goes. I want to put the old climate controls there since they are square and I know the would fit. The problem is, will the wiring behind the new climate controls work with the old ones????? :help
