Hey guys,

I have Q45 '94 with 175K on it. I own it for eight years and it is the first time that my climate control will not blow air (either in AC or Econ modes). When I press the button I hear clicks behind dash as if it actuates something but no air comes out. Then occasionally when I drive it may start blowing air on its own.

Feels like a loose connector but I don't know what to check for?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated especially in this warm weather :)

Andre.

Is it an easy job for DIY? How much this blower fan motor usually costs?

Thanks,

A.

yes, drop glovebox and then 3 bolts......did mine in freezing January in less than 15 minutes total- part is around 100, but if you can find an electric motor repair shop in your town{ look in phone book} they can replace brushes in current motor for much less.search this forum for more detailed writeup....type in blower motor in search box.

Pulling the fan motor is very easy and done as qship described. Once you get the glove box out and can see the fan on the right side it's pretty self-explanatory.

I have 2 used blower fans from partouts if your interested. Not as good as buying a new part but it works exactly the same and is a lot cheaper. Email me if your interested.
