Climate control unit wont come on

Ok i just brought a 1990 300zx and the entire interior was apart from the last owner trying change the color of the interior. I put it the interior back together to find that the Climate Control Unit doesn't turn on. I checked the fuses and they all look good, I replaced it with a CCU from a 1992 300zx and still nothing. The wiper switchs work on both units though but the digital gauges just dont turn on. Also the speedo jumps to 80 when the key is turned on. Someone help!!!!!
