Climate Control.

I was wondering if anyone else has had any problems with the auto climate control on there z32. I dont know if it's the control switch which has the wiper functions on it thats bad or if maybe the temperature sensor for the ambient temp. is bad. Basically it wont allow the a/c to be turned on, and displays ambient temp. as -124, or some wierd symbol then 24. I know the a/c works because I hotwired the relay for the a/c and the compressor starts up and the it'll blow cold air then. Another thing(which I thought might be a disconnected vacuum line) is that air will only blow out of the defroster vents and out of the feet vents.

from your discription it sounds like the ambient temp sensor i would replace it and see what happens i have seen this before ussally when its bad it shows nothing at all on the read out just symbols but if its shorted it could show the reading you desribe

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. Do you know where that particular sensor is located? I thought I had read somewhere that it was mounted on the front bumper support but Im not sure.
