Climate Control Recirc Button

I get that the recirc button recycles air inside the cabin. In my experience, with AC set to recycle (AKA Max. AC) it increases the fan speed for each fan speed setting...at least in all the cars ive been in.

Doesn't happen in my Z, is that by design? I know the button works because it'll light up and passive air will stop flowing through when I dont have the system on. However it doesn't seem to automatically turn off the recirc after the 10 minute cycle.

I never heard of them increasing the fan speed. They often sound louder on some cars in, and maybe if the flow path has less restriction w/ the bypass on then you will get a high flow rate. Just my 2 cents....
