The search button has revealed to me that the display on the climate controls often fails.

Has any one ever successfully repaired one-by re soldering/replacing anything?

Yes, there is a writeup here in the archives. However, I cannot repost the picture of the board.

Also, http://www.jerrytucker.net will replace them for $100 last time I looked.

In my experience it's not a cold solder joint (reheated every single one of them) or a cracked PCB (couldn't find any bridges on the repaired board from JT.

I tried junkyard take-outs, swapping capicitors, etc... all to no avail. Save yourself a lot of heartache and just send if off for the rebuild... http://www.jerrytucker.net

Well it was worth a try--does anyone have a dead one lying around? My brother is a electrical engineer--if any one can find the problem he can. If we can get it fixed then i'll do a write up--save everyone some $$$$

Any results with the Temp control, I have the same issue and I didn't want to repost a question that was already asked.

Thanks!!!
