ok.. this car (94 q45) is starting to kill me slowly!!!! the a/c unit works great, when it's hot outside it's nice and chilly inside my car. the problem comes when it's cold/cool outdoors and i want that nice crisp air to come into the cabin...but the damm climate control (though it's set at 65deg) wants to blow in WARM damm air!!! this happens in both the manual and auto settings.

if it's 10below zero to 55 deg dang it i want that air inside the car, but the car sayzzzzs no way buddy here's 80deg temp for you!!! any clue as to why this happens.... here's the funny thing seems mainly to happen in the morning hours, for some reason the afternoon hour it will on occasion give me the outside cool air.

could be a bad sensor. The system has six or seven senors, perhaps incabin temp sensor reads too cool.

anyway, run the A/C self diagnostic first, and compare all the temp sensor readings with real world temps.

Running the self diagnosis is fairly easy, hold the "off" button for 5 secs within 10 sec of turning the ignition key to the on position. (Actually starting the car is optional) However how the navigate the menus and recall readings from the sensors is little complicated, the service manual details it all.

I had a similar problem, only it was worse. The problem was fully resolved once I replaced the climate control unit. You can pick up a functioning unit for free albiet the fact that the digital display may not work. Many shops simply discard them when they swop out the units. If you know someone with a Q, you can try swopping the unit just to test.

I think it is just a sensor also..... Email me off board, and I will be more than happy to copy a page out of the manual for you!!
