That took me a while to understand because you didnt use proper grammer and there were no periods but enough of this i will share my experience on a car alarm

Anyways, so i purchased a motorcycle alarm for my bike which cost me 500$. Then i found out that its pretty much useless and that alarms are a waste of money because.. For one thing, bikes can be lifted if a person really wants to steal it. Second, if a person wants to steal **** inside your car, theyre going to break ur window (alarm sounds) then quickly steal your stuff. I don't think any criminal determined to steal would be deterred by an annoying alarm. Anyways, thats my 2 cents.

Can't go wrong with Clifford, my last 3 cars have had Cliffords. I have a Clifford 10.2x in my coupe. You may want to add an additional impact sensor, the onboard impact sensor can be kinda week depending on where/how the brain is mounted.

thanks. so the additional impact sensor is that just for more safely or is it for the rims cause down here in miami ppl steal rims like no tomorrow. so i wanted to know if they come with the sensors for the wheels.

No, they don't, just onboard impact. You will need to add a tilt and/or proximity sensor. Additional DEI sensors are plug n play, simply plug in wire harnesss and mount the sensor.

i had the viper remote pager alarm system on my 92 Chevy pick up. it did the job, after having it broken into 2 times before i got the alarm, then it hasnt been touched. but im also shopping around for an alarm for my coupe as well. but viper cost. but like you, i dont need the remote start or keyless entry, just something that lets me know if something is happening to the car.

viper, clifford, hornet, python.... all the same company! all good products!

I have the autopage RS 1000... remote start, keyless entry, color led, and it pages you to let you know exactly what zone of your car is being tampered with with moving graphics screens

the viper 7900 is viper's version of this, and clifford has its version as well (70.5x), python has the 1090, etc.

Directed had to recall of its top line units last year because they had improper shielding, and there was tons of interference in the field (real world)

so they recalled all of them, went back to the drawing board, and re released them.

Now, they should all be good to go, but I went with auto page anyway... either way, you can't go wrong! i did a writeup on car alarms a while back...

http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread?id=310139

I went with the autopage because it has better paging range (1 mile vs 1/4 mile with viper, clifford, etc)

both alarms are from the same company "DEI" as for protecting rims, its not gonna do much but have a shock sensor, unless you install an tilt sensor or perimeter sensor.

better yet tho, just have 2 different type of wheel locks on each rim and leave the key at home or something
