I don't know if something is wrong, or that I just noticed it. When I'm in city areas, and can hear the sounds my car makes (bouncing off of buildings, cars and what not), I hear loud CLICKS whenever I push the gas, let off, or when the clutch bounces a bit. I know the clutch rattles at idle, but the clicking has me worried.

Normal? Bad?

Mine clicks a little, only when i am about to move from a dead stop. It isn't hurting anything as far as i know. In fact, it was one of the reasons behind me changing my whole clutch system. i still hear one or two clicks only when I am about to engage the clutch. After that it goes away. Sometimes when you may hear it when you step on the gas pedal or when you decelerate. This is one the quirky and annoying things about our cars. I don't pay it any mind. I told the service consultant that i will be back if the clicking intensifies or gets worse. I am still under warranty, so I loose no sleep on it for now.

true.

I know now that this sound is new. I was driving my daily commute and had forgot all about it, when I heard it. Seems like something is loose, but I'm under warranty, so I guess I'll just wait it out.

Dangit! I have that clicking sound, too. I hear it only with the windows down upon take-off from a stop. I wish I knew what it was.

Probably the dual-mass flywheel/clutch assembly chattering.

I had this...take it to the dealership if you have warranty left as there is a tsb for this....fairly common problem. Axle splines need to be tightened or lubricated or something or other lol..

In any case not a big deal just take it it...usually only takes them like an hour to fix.

Thank God, Chris chimed in.

I was going to you all for not remembering this problem as it's been repeated over and over.

Wait, the problem you're all talking about is for the auto right? I'm safe-ish?

Tampa: Halos? Did you ever post the pics? (its my thread, I can jack it if I want)

That sux. I got mine in finally. The 'company' had me ship them my new lamps, and they were to install my rings for me. Turns out, since they use a plastic diffuser around their halos, they wouldn't mount one near my fog (we know what could happen...) So they shipped them back with only one set, on the projection. It doesn't look horrible, but far from what I should have received for the price. Still very dissatisfied with the company.

But I'm working on mounting some high intensity LEDs in my clear covered turn signal, which should even out the look. I actually have it done on the old set, but have been too lazy to take out the new set and bake them.

This has nothing to do with the transmission. The rear axles go "click click" when your Jerk (change in acceleration) them. The only reason you'd feel it more in an manual than an auto is because there is no "slush" to absorbe the jerk.
