Went out to go to work this morning and when I turn the ignition there is a loud clicking sound from the passenger side of the engine bay. It is some kind of sensor with electrical connections and a vacaum line. If you unplug the wires from it you can then here another clicking sound from underneath the intake runners near the firewall. Does anyone have an Idea what may be going on ?

That thing with the vacuum line and the electrical connections sounds like the idle air control valve. Your clicking probably wasnt coming from there in the first place. Underneath the intake runners near the firewall sounds like the starter motor. Does the motor turn over at all, or does the starter just click?

No the motor cranks over and all. You can turn the switch on and the rapid clicking will keep going on. Its not the starter .I can reach under the runners from near the firewall and then forward a few inches and can feel the ? vibrating it's somekind of sensor or relay I assume.

Could it be your alternator? I know it isn't really in the region you are describing, but I can't think of anything down there other than the knock sensor.

I am right out side of Bristol about 120 miles from Knoxville. I dont believe it could be the alternator. On a side note I had just recieved my AEM F/IC and was planning on installing that today before I turbo it . Oh well , another day I quess.
