Clicking sound under the dash when I lock or unlock doors

1997 J30t 140k. Whenever I lock or unlock doors, manually or electronically, there is that clicking sound under the dash.

Does that mean my central remote unit is working, or NOT working? Is this bad or good?

I believe the door actuator module is somewhere behind the instrument panel. I would replace that part when it finally dies.

I believe that sound you hear is the anti-theft system activating. If you look at the dask, you'll see the "Security" light blinking. Once you lock the doors you'll hear that click and the light stops blinking.
