My brake light came on and I do have brakes but there's a clicking noise under the console when ever I apply the brakes. Any ideas?

If the light is on, check your brake fluid level. The level typically goes down a bit as pads and shoes wear, and once below a certain level, the idiot light will come on.

Clicking....maybe the relay that activates your brake lights?

Not sure on that.

the noise your hearing is most likely the shiftlock solenoid. this is a normal sound, but in some vehicle such as an Altima, there is a rubber stopper on the under side of the shifter( you need to completely remove the shifter to gain access) that can be up graded. if not present in vehicle.hope this helpsnisstech1
