Post

I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now. I just bought my 07 Versa SL and had instant problems with a clicking noise which I think is coming from the trans. I have the 6 speed and when I am shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd and the down shifting from 3rd to 2nd I hear a clicking noise after the shift. They tought they fixed it the first time but it started to do it again and I had to bring it right back. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem or have any idea what it may be.

Thanks

I wish it was that easy. I have the rims that come with the SL package but thanks for getting back to me. It only happens when I shift. More so when it is in a stop and go situation

Duh...yeah, sorry. I didn't notice that you have an SL. When you say that they "fixed" it once already, what did they say it was?

They told me it was the drive axle. They regreased it and said it should be fine and well of course it was not. I just think that they have no idea what it is and they are just going to keep doing **** to see if that is it. I went on nissanusa.com and sent them an email expaling everything to them but I am not sure how far that will get me. I have driven the car a total of 10 miles. Mostly just to and from the dealer

10 miles? That should be a case where the dealer fixes it or replaces the car, it shouldn't have even left the lot doing that.

the parts that CAN cause such a noise, that I know of, during shifting are:

driveshaftsdifferentialtransaxle (of which the diff is part...)clutchtorque rod

There are probably quite a few more, but that's just a list to start.

I have only driven it 10 miles. It now has 400 on it because they had to get it from another dealership that was a state away because I wanted the 6 speed and their were none around. So someone drove it 300 miles the way it is. I am pissed off and starting to lose patience. I am not sure what to do. Thanks for getting back to me. If you have any suggestions please let me know
