Since I found this great place w/ so many knowledge nissan folks, and I'm new to the nissan family (had my '02 max se for just 2 weeks) I have a couple questions.

1-My car makes a clicking noise somewhere near the steering wheel every single time i touch my foot to the accelerator and let off. 2 dealers have looked at it and they both said it's just the way nissan cars are. Anyone else experience this? It's VERY annoying.

2-My gas tank, the area where you put the gas nozzle in is rusted, is that normal and is it something that could cause a problem? Dealer says the whole tank would have to be replaced at $500 just for the part plus labor.

Thanks again for your time and help!

1. I've never heard any clicking. I'll talk to one of our 2k2 Maxima owners tonight, and get him to post any input. Check out this thread, and if you can join us. There'll be at least three Maxima owners.

2. The dealer is correct that if it is the filler nozzle, it is part of the tank. It's probably just surface corrosion. If you can post a picture of it.
