As the title describes I have a clicking noise that is only occuring while the car is in gear. I notice it when I press down and lift off of the gas normally when the left side of my car is next to something that allows me to hear it more clearly. It is not a thump but rather a click. The car drives smooth in straight line and cornering.

Car only has 20k miles on it so hopefully it's nothing major. I'm waiting for some free time to pull off the wheel or I'm going to have Infiniti look at it when they change my oil.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have the answer!!!

Take it to the dealer and tell them it's coming form the rear of the car. Mention that it could be the axles needing to be lubed.

I had that same problem with my 05 coupe. The easiest way to reproduce the sound is to put it into low gear (2nd works well). Get the car moving, then tap the throttle then release. The harsher the acceleration, the more prominent the sound.
