clicking noise from doors

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hey guys,

I have generally been a silent reader, but I need your feedback on the clicking noise I get from both the front doors. It sounds like a tic-tac box is attached to the door. It is heard when the vehicle is going over bumps at slow speeds on a quiet street. The tire noise usually drowns it out at higher speeds. I have taken it to the dealer several times, but they could not replicate the sound.

Has any one noticed this one? I have removed every single item from the glove compartment and center console. Also, tied down the seat belts, just in case they were the culprit. I have 2010EX AWD and this noise makes the car like a cheap old car.

I used the "SEARCH" and came up with this...

tick-creeking-noise-finally-fixed-t393548.html

Type "Noise in Door" into SEARCH... and you'll get lots of other Threads.

Hi,

I had same problem and went to the dealershop, but they told me it was caused by seat belts.
The problem did not go away at all. Noticed that when I opened the window slightly, those noise went away. I applied the pure slicon rube (treadmil rube) around the top rubber section. All noise went away..

The rubber section and window or matal parts on the door were rubbing each other and made anoying noise when the road was uneven.

I had this issue on my 01 Acura MDX. Rubbed the window seals with WD-40 and it never returned.... Good luck.

I don't think it is from the seatbelts. I actually wrapped the seatbelts with cloth to isolate that. But it might be something around the door seals. I will try putting some silicon around the door to see if I can minimize it. I have an appointment with the service manager in a week to identify the sound. I will keep the group posted.
