what year is your Z? I'm guessing its the rear axle if it's 03-04.

edit: Take it to your local nissan dealer and they will fix it for you free of charge.

Recently got mine done on my G-35 Coupe. Its the axle spline. When you take it back to the dealership, they will full it up with grease and re-install--the noise goes away instantly. Its a known issue listed in their TSBs. Take it to the delaership and they should get it fixed within 2 - 3 hours of arriving there if they do not have too much work. Be nice to the service consultant.

I don't think it matters whether or not your warranty is still up. If it's posted as a TSB then you get a free ride. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Yep! As a TSB, it should be a free ride. But ya know, they could argue that it is not a recall since no safety and driveability issues have been identified with the issue.

So your saying I could just go to a nissan dealer and have them fix my axle click problem without warranty? I bought my 03 used and want to get rid of the axle click. Also my window motor needs to be replaced, is that a TSB? Oh and the feathering issue, what can they do about that? Thanks a lot!

Are you sure your window motor needs replaced or do you just need the limits reset, which is common on most 03-04 Z's. As far as fixing the axle cliclking your self I believe my Nissan mechanic friend said you have to drop the diff and take out the axles and grease them real good.

The TSB issued to address the tire feathering issue is NTB03-006A

As far as the clicking goes, i have had it since i have had the car (1.5 years) and it doesn't affect the performance, i just haven't gone to get it fixed.

That sounds like a job for your friendly local nissan dealership.
